Germán Doig Klinge

G

In the month of our Lady, Luis German Doig Klinge was born on May 22nd, 1957, and was baptized into Christ.

At the age of 16 he discovered the Lord as the only answer for his life. He entered the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae as a lay-member, and dedicated his every desire to following God's plan daily and to his calling to the path to holiness. On May 13th, 1981, he professed a full and perpetual disposition to the apostolic life, consecrating himself through his life and work to evangelization.

Throughout his earthly life he showed an intense and enduring aspiration to let himself be formed by the Lord Jesus, announcing that He is the answer to the human being's profound longings.

He strove to live daily in the presence of God, as well as to make his life, actions, and ministry a continuous prayer to give glory to God, conscious of the path that Sodalitium spirituality had placed before him: "Prayer for life and ministry, life and ministry become prayer."

Pope John Paul II appointed him on various occasions to work in the service of the church world-wide. The characteristics of his life and the joy, peace, and hope that radiated from him have been for many a starting point for living a coherent and intense Christian life.

The Lord found his son German ready and called him to His presence on February 13th, 2001.1.
